Meet the Animals of Westmeister Farms
Every animal at Westmeister Farm has a unique story and plays an important role in our educational encounters.
Our visits are guided by a knowledgeable tour guide, with animal interactions shaped by each animal’s comfort, boundaries, and behavior. This allows guests to learn about each species through thoughtful, hands-on experiences rooted in care and respect.
Sloths
Step into a slower pace of life with Eleanor, our resident two-toed sloth. Known for her gentle nature and “perpetual smile,” Eleanor is the heart of our sloth encounters. Unlike a traditional zoo setting, meeting Eleanor at Westmeister Farm is a quiet, private experience designed entirely around her comfort.
During your visit, you’ll have the rare opportunity to get up close and personal—petting her soft fur, offering her favorite treats, and learning about the fascinating biology that makes sloths so unique. Capybaras
If you’re looking for the ultimate “cuddle bugs” of the animal kingdom, look no further than our capybara crew! Led by our famous duo, Winnie and Winston, these “giant rodents” are full of personality and love nothing more than a good scratch and some leafy greens.
Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents and are famous for their social, laid-back vibes. On your private tour, you’ll see why they are often called the “peace ambassadors” of the animal world. Whether they are spreading love through our seasonal “Cappy Grams” or just lounging in the sun, Winnie and Winston are always ready to greet guests with their signature calm and curiosity. It’s an interactive, hands-on encounter that is guaranteed to be the highlight of your visit.
